It is rare to find a pianist that crosses comfortably and
convincingly from classical piano to jazz piano, but
Matthew's training and experience back up the claim
that he can do it.
Matthew has performed with: New York-based jazz
clarinetist Ken Peplowski, a student of Benny
Goodman; trumpeter Dennis Reynolds, formerly the
lead trumpeter in Count Basie's band; the Toledo Jazz
Orchestra; and members of the Cleveland Jazz
Orchestra. In addition to his Bachelor of Music in
Piano Performance, Matthew earned a Bachelor of
Music in Jazz at Bowling Green State University.
